[ Pink-Fire | Akarui | Pheasant Woods ]

Akarui was out and about in the woods, humming to herself and all around being in her usual lighthearted mood. In fact, she had been getting more and more adventurous the more time went on. She loved to be out now, and didn't worry as much as she had done when she was younger. Mind you, in all her travels she had only very briefly met one Shadow Triber... so maybe she was just lucky.

[ Green-Air | Sorrel | Pheasant Woods ]

The pale tom gave a stretch as he yawned, flexing his paws and briefly unsheathing his claws to draw them against the branch he had been napping in.  He blinked his eyes lazily, giving his head a shake so as to wake himself up.  As it was another ridiculously hot day, the long furred tom had been seeking refuge in the forest’s shade for the past couple of hours.  He wasn’t doing much, merely sleeping since it was far too hot for him to even think about hunting.  However, as the sound of pawsteps reached his ears, he had forced his turquoise eyes open, watching from his high perch and swishing his tail back and forth eagerly. A young she-cat came into view – one he recognized no less.  Sorrel gave a smirk, his eyes locked on her as she moved by, humming to herself in what seemed to be a rather happy mood. “Run away from home again?” the Air Triber called down to her, teasing as he so often did.  “Or did you finally realize how wasteful it is to spend such a lovely day stuck in your tribe?”

Akarui heard Sorrel's name and her nausea kicked in all over again, her usual lump finding it's not so comfortable for her place in her throat. She padded over, her tail in the air and flicking with amusement, though her face furrowed in a mocking expression. "Nope, I worked hard and so now I was going to go out for a walk as I now like to do, since I have only every briefly run in to one shadow tribe cat and she was small and left quickly... So, I don't worry as much any more about finding a shadow tribe cat who will indeed turn me in to a zombie," she told him matter-of-factly with a smug smile. She was proud of herself though, in the ways she had come both as a smith and in not being such a wimp when she was out and about in neutral lands alone. It helped that she had some friends now... Alue and Sorrel for starters.

“Not scared of Shadow Tribers, huh?” the tom replied, a smirk on his maw as he looked down at her from his perch in the tree.  Not /that/ was certainly news to him.  He paused, watching her with amusement for a moment.  Suddenly, his calm and arrogant expression flashed to one of horror.  His ears flattened back, his hair standing on end, and his tail fur all out of sorts.  With a hiss, he glared over Aka’s shoulder, his turquoise eyes flashing. “Aka – quick!  /Shadow Triber/!!” he yowled seriously, leaping down from his branch and flinging himself in a bush to hide.  However, he couldn’t keep up his mock terror for long.  Once hidden, he burst into laughter, somewhat pleased with his joke.  He trotted out the shrub, giving his pelt a shake and allowing his fur to return to normal.  He winked and stuck his tongue out playfully at the young she-cat.  “Still not afraid of Shadow Tribers?” he teased.

Akarui's eyes followed him with a warm expression till she saw the horror, and when he screamed Shadow Tribers she was the first to let out an ear piercing screech of fear. After all, she wasn't going to hang around as they turned her friends brain to putty and forced her to become a zombie! She dashed in to the nearest bush, her ginger pelt fluffed out and her body tight as tree bark and she wedged herself as far in as she could...that was, until she heard Sorrel laughing. Which would be fine, if it wasn't Akarui. Still in the bush, her nerves didn't settle and she remained exactly where she was, shaking in fear. Sure, she was getting now that she had been played but- but what if they had turned him in to a zombie to make it seem like she had been played to coax her out... And-and-and she was starting to hyperventilate. She had to slowly calm herself down, before she could even logically assess the situation. Yup, Sorrel was still laughing. This long meant surely she had just been duped and there weren't any out there. Still, she was pretty far in to the brush so squeezing her way out was both frustrating and painful. By the time she got out, she was almost something close to anger. Hurt, she was hurt that charming sweet Sorrel had been so rude. "I never said I wasn't afraid of them, only that I was less afraid so shame on you for scaring me silly. And here I thought you where someone worthy of my affections."

The ginger tom continued to laugh, quite pleased with how his prank had turned out.  Despite being two seasons old, the idiot still acted as if he were merely three moons.  His turquoise eyes were practically tearing up from all his laughter, only further amused as the young she-cat scrambled her way out of the bush, clearly angry with him.  It was until his laughter subsided that he smirked at her, locking his bright, twinkling eyes onto her own, which were staring at him with such a hurt expression that it was hard for him not to laugh again. “Lighten up there, Aka!” Sorrel whined, mock pouting at her as if /he/ were the one hurt by her reaction.  “Just a little prank, heh.  No harm meant, my dear,” he teased, winking at her in a good-natured way.  He stopped himself however, suddenly processing the auburn she-cat’s angry words.  He stared at her blankly for a moment, all laughter gone from his eyes and a strange, serious expression overcoming his face.  It was most unfitting for him, as it didn't quite suit his boyish nature. “’Affections’?” he repeated, slightly confused.  Yet…an uncomfortable prickle in his paws was telling him there was more to her words.  He grimaced in a kind of apologetic way, but said nothing, not wanting to make any assumptions just yet.

She pushed her nose up in the air, but she was crying, both from the remaining adrenalin and fear and for realizing how silly she had been to think that someone so charming could love her. He, he had been so sweet, so perfect, that she was now beginning to realize ti was probably because he had done it all before, on other she cats. She cats what could stand that, but not her. She was all heart, and she gave her heart to those where she thought where deserving. She had been nothing but kind and honest and innocent in her love for him and it broke her heart to see that he could watch her tears and laugh at her. "You need to leave. No, no I don't even trust you to be that kind to me. I-I thought you knew I loved you. It was obvious wasn't it? In the way your every smile sent me over the moon happy? I guess not, since your probably use to baiting all those she cats. Useless, I was completely useless and you made a fool of me. You- you don't even like me like that do you? If you did you wouldn't have been laughing. You're cruel."

[ Green-Air | Sorrel | Pheasant Woods ]

The pale tom merely stared at her, his expression blank and unreadable.  Little did he know the young she-cat thought him some villain until she spoke again, her words hurt and angry.  Still, he made no reply.  Although he could not deny he was a charmer of sorts, he never meant any harm.  Male or female, he treated everyone the same – polite words, teasing yet kind…it didn't matter to him who they were.  He was no cruel tom, but simply one who enjoyed poking fun and living life to its fullest.  Yet somehow, his intentions had misunderstood by the youngster.  His turquoise eyes no longer flickered with amusement, but became cold.  He wasn't one to care much if someone disliked him, as he easily made friends and was quick to replace them. “It’s time you grew up, Aka,” he replied simply, getting to his paws.  He shook of his pelt before turning around, beginning to pad away at her request.  He ignored her tears, feeling no sympathy for her.  She misunderstood after all – he was not the one at fault in his eyes.  “Don’t mistake kindness for affection,” he meowed, pausing in his footsteps and glancing back at her.  His eyes were serious, a change from his usual gleaming and playful expressions.  “You have a lot to learn about the world if you consider being kind and charming to others ‘baiting’.  I didn't make a fool out of anyone – you did that yourself.”  And with that, the ginger tom turned away, no longer feeling any sort of connection to the immature she-cat he had once considered a younger sister to him.  All that was left now was indifference.
Ahh...so it looks like Sorrel and Akarui are no longer friends. In my opinion both are at fault here, but Sorrel sees himself as perfectly innocent of course - well...Aka was pretty rude to him, assuming things and shit. *shot* Anyways, after this, I don't see them being friendly with one another anymore. Akarui thinks he's some kind of tom who leads she-cats to their doom, whereas Sorrel sees himself just as a playful guy who likes to tease everyone. No really...he'd flirt with a tom if he ever came across one. He's that damn playful.Sorry Rey. ;A; Heehee, maybe he shouldn't have played that prank on her, but she so set herself up for it. He couldn't pass up such a great opportunity! XD Oh Sorrel...when will you ever grow up. Funny, 'cause he sees her as super immature even though he's a total child himself. Ah the irony. My favorite kind.

This was just a short little RP to conclude their friendship of sorts. I don't think it was meant to turn out this way though...I thought Sorrel was going to gently reject her and they'd remain good friends, since he only sees Akarui as a little sister (she's just so young *sobs*), but then...she assumed things about him. It's kind of a pet peeve of his, so I couldn't stop him - he ended up being cold! Sorry, Aka, but Sorrel doesn't take shit from nobody. ;A; He just ain't that kind of guy. He's too shallow to care what anyone thinks of him anyways. He just sort of shrugs it off and moves on. If they ever run into each other again, I dread to think how he'll treat little Akarui. To him, she's simply just there now. He has no emotional attachment to her anymore. *sobs* Hopefully Akarui doesn't have too many hurt feelings - although it's pretty obvious that she does with her all her sensitivity. XD I feel so bad for her now. *dies inside*
